Ordinary people doing extraordinary things

Now more than ever is the time to recognise and appreciate the outstanding work that is being completed by our emergency services in the UK.

The NHS are Currently the headline act for this horrendous situation that we are all going through. However, it's very important to recognise the outstanding commitment and work that all the emergency services play in keeping our country safe day to day.

Being part of the emergency services myself, I have never been more proud to be part of the blue light family.

All emergency service workers are ordinary people do that do extra ordinary things, putting other people and our country before their own lives and families.

I have always offered a 15% discount to my colleagues in my organisation. However, I am now extending this discount to all emergency service workers. This will be an ongoing discount that will remain in place as a little thank you for all the outstanding work undertaken by our emergency services day in and day out.

I also think that now is the perfect opportunity to tell you how being in the emergency services has have shaped me to build my own business and why I am the right person for you to pick for your wedding florist.

I have been in the emergency services for seven years. This business is my side-line. I absolutely love having these two completely opposite roles, my day job is serious stuff, whereas being a wedding florist enables me to be creativeeee and have fun.

Working in the emergency services has taught me invaluable skills that I have been able to transfer into running my own business, and being bloody good at it (If I say so myself, haha!)

The first and most important skill is the ability to effectively communicate. The ability to communicate effectively is an absolute must in business. I like to think my customer services skills are second to none. I know what’s important for business, and that’s being there at the right time. Forget formal emails, we will exchange numbers and chat via Whatsapp. I’m not a 9-5 business, contact me when you have the time to do so, and I will respond as soon as I can.

Communication skills are also very important with regards to liaising with other suppliers, and your venue. I am a natural problem solver, I like helping people, it’s in my DNA. I can make a dynamic risk assessments and I can assure you that I will remain calm in any situation and deal with any issue professionally.

I have advanced emotional intelligence which is a really important skill in my day job. It also plays such a big part in the role of a wedding florist, as I am involved in one of the biggest days of your life, and emotions can be running high.

This current situation with regards to COVID-19 has shown us that things can change at the drop of a hat, and being empathetic to all those involved is a skill that I possess in abundance.

My attention to detail is everything, nothing gets past me haha, which is so important when it comes to weddings. I’m not just a wedding florist, I am also a venue stylist, I will ensure all your tables are laid correctly, all of your ceremony chairs are in line and no flower is out of place!

On top of all of these things, I am a very down to earth and friendly person. I can assure you that you will be treated as my friend, but in the most professional way possible. I'm here to listen and I will

support you with whatever you need support with.

Please spread the 15% Emergency service discount far and wide, and keep safe during these unprecedented times.
