Sophie and Ian got married at a gorgeous little church in Chelmsford, Essex and the reception took place at Chelmsford Cricket Club, as they are both avid cricket fans.
It was a September day, and the weather was absolutely gorgeous. However, arriving at the church at 0800 it was not so gorgeous and actually pretty bloody chilly! I had stupidly forgot to bring a jacket and waiting outside for the vicar to arrive was not the one!!
I absolutely love a church wedding! With lots of gorgeous ‘all in one’ venues I don’t work at churches often! (HINT HINT!)
Outside of the church was some railings that Sophie really did not like the look of. She asked me if I could cover the railings up. Of course, I raised to the task! The result was brilliant if I do say so myself!
I completely covered the outside railings with foliage and scattered flowers to create a ‘WOW’ factor!
Inside the church, I decorated the altar with a floral garland on either side. There was also a third Garland, which sat proudly on the registrar table.
I also placed floral arrangements on the end of every other church pew and scattered flower petals on the floor along the aisle. The setup was an absolute dream.
After the ceremony. I removed the floral Garland's from the registrar table, and the altar. This was all reused to form a whopping great big top table flower display which was six metres in length together.
An extra two garlands were also used to decorate the outside of the marquee at the Cricket Club.
Sophie didn't want anything to take away the prettiness of the top table. So, for her guests to centrepieces, she opted for a very simple, elegant design of minimal flowers in glass jars.
Sophie and Iani's wedding flowers consisted of David Austin roses, Avalanche roses, Spray roses, Lisianthus, Dahlias, Astilbe
and a mix of foliage.
Even in September, it was the perfect summer mix of pale pinks whites and greens.
